Just a closer walk with thee

Psalm 1:1 (New King James Version)
"Blessed is the man,Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;"

Let us ask God each day to help us so we can not be found walking in the counsel of the ungodly or sitting in the seat of mockers, lest we become like them.

Let us pray that we will only delight in the law of the Lord and that nothing else will take our attention and his place.

Let us also pray for the grace to meditate on his word day and night.

Let us pray for the light to be with us always, so that we will not give any room for darkness to enter. John 1:4-5 says, " In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend[a] it."

35 Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.

Surround yourself with the light and give no room for darkness.
